Debian 13.5 Released To Ship The Latest Linux Security Fixes
Debian 13.5 is out today as the newest point release to Debian Trixie for incorporating all of the latest security fixes affecting the Linux kernel and dozens of user-space packages.
Beyond incorporating a number of Linux security fixes, Debian 13.5 fixes a privilege escalation issue with Bubblewrap, a code execution issue with Cockpit, various buffer overflow fixes for different packages, fixing an overly broad permission issue with the nano editor, possible denial of service issue affecting different PHP components, and various X.Org Server security fixes too.
Debian 13.5 also updates a number of packages for improved Python 3.13 compatibility, fixing illegal instructions on RISC-V 64-bit with GRUB EFI code, and other minor fixes.
