Open Source Week 2027 – Flagship Event
Open Source Week 2027 brings Canada’s open-source community together for two days of learning, collaboration, innovation and connection at the flagship event in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Taking place September 3–4, 2027, at Prairieland Park, the event will welcome open-source users, developers, technology professionals, businesses, educators, students, community organizations and anyone interested in discovering what open technologies can offer.
The program will feature presentations, workshops, demonstrations, exhibitors and community activities, creating opportunities to learn new skills, explore Linux and open-source technologies, meet the people and organizations behind them, and build connections across Canada’s growing open-source ecosystem.
Whether you are an experienced Linux professional, an open-source contributor, a business exploring alternatives to proprietary technology, a student preparing for a career in technology, or simply curious about Linux and open source, Open Source Week is designed to be welcoming and accessible.
The Saskatoon gathering is the flagship event of Open Source Week 2027, complemented by community-led activities across Canada. Together, we aim to make open source more visible, accessible and understandable while strengthening the communities, skills and partnerships that will help shape Canada’s digital future.
Open ideas. Open technology. Stronger communities.
