Connecting Canadian Employers with Linux and Open Source Talent

Yesterday at 10:00 a.m. Central Time, the Linux Association of Canada proudly launched its National IT, Linux & Open Source Job Board, marking another major milestone in our mission to strengthen Canada's open-source ecosystem.

Designed specifically for the Canadian technology community, the new Job Board provides a central place where employers can connect with professionals who are passionate about Linux, open-source software, cloud technologies, DevOps, cybersecurity, system administration, software development, and IT.

Unlike general job websites, our platform focuses on opportunities relevant to the Linux and open-source community, making it easier for both employers and job seekers to find the right match.

Supporting Canada's Open Source Ecosystem

The launch of the Job Board is part of a much larger vision.

Over the past few weeks, the Linux Association of Canada has introduced several national initiatives aimed at building a stronger and more connected open-source community, including:

  • Canada's Open Source Software Library
  • Our Linux Distribution Library featuring more than 400 Linux distributions
  • The Free Refurbished Computer Program
  • National support for Linux User Groups and local chapters
  • New opportunities for volunteers, sponsors, and community organizations

Together, these initiatives are creating a national platform where individuals, businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations can collaborate, share knowledge, and promote open technologies.
