About This Event
Open Source Conference Luxembourg 2026 brings together open-source experts, public-sector organizations, businesses, researchers, communities, and technology professionals to exchange knowledge and explore how open technologies can support a more sovereign and resilient digital future.
The 2026 conference is centred on the theme “Leading by Example in Digital Sovereignty.” Discussions and presentations will examine practical open-source projects and strategies being used by governments, institutions, organizations, and communities to reduce technological dependencies while strengthening collaboration and control over digital infrastructure.
The conference features six principal areas: the public sector, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, education and academia, decentralized technologies for digital sovereignty, and work involving UN and humanitarian organizations. Sessions address subjects including Open Source Program Offices (OSPOs), open-source AI, software supply-chain security, self-hosted and federated technologies, open-source education, interoperability, and sustainable open-source communities.
