Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our MBS (Mortgage-Backed Securities) Risk & Pricing Technology team. The role focuses on both production support and development, supporting critical risk and pricing systems used by the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong technology background, solid problem-solving skills, and an interest in Fixed Income risk and pricing. This role requires hands-on ownership of production systems, including issue investigation, resolution, and continuous improvement, as well as contributing to ongoing development and enhancement projects. Responsibilities: - Provide day-to-day production support for risk and pricing systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in a timely manner. (60%) - Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes and improvements. - Collaborate with business users and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions. - Contribute to development efforts, including enhancements, automation, and system improvements. (40%) - Improve system stability, performance, and operational efficiency through automation and tooling. - Participate in release deployment, testing, and production rollout activities. - Ensure high-quality standards and controls are maintained in a fast-paced environment. - Continuously learn financial products, business workflows, and new technologies. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on issues and deliverables. Skills Required: - Strong programming experience in Python - Experience with scripting languages (Shell scripting) - Experience supporting production systems, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis - Experience with data analysis and querying (e.g., Sybase, SQL, Excel) - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Preferred: - Knowledge of Fixed Income products, especially MBS - Understanding of risk and pricing systems - Experience with KDB+/Q or functional programming - Familiarity with manual and automated testing - Experience with AI assisted coding - Experience with Perl scripting languages
