Full Job Description
Job Description:
• Plan and execute remote software upgrades across supported platforms
• Ensure Call Handling customers remain on current software release levels
• Work directly with customers to schedule and coordinate upgrades, maintenance windows, and change communications
• Collaborate with Research & Development and Engineering teams to develop, refine, and execute upgrade processes
• Develop, design, evaluate, and modify systems according to customer requirements and regulatory standards
• Support system architecture and ensure platform integrity, stability, and performance
• Configure and validate software across diverse customer configurations and environments
• Identify, document, and report field process and product issues
• Assist support levels with investigations and resolutions
• Manage critical customer issues during upgrades and communicate with customers and internal stakeholders
• Represent Anovia in customer engagements with dispatchers, law enforcement personnel, and technology executives
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and escalation details
• Create, review, and maintain whitepapers, Methods of Procedures (MOPs), technical alerts, and bulletins
• Work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and customers
Requirements:
• Hands-on experience working within Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
• Experience with virtualization technologies is a strong asset
• Experience with HP server platforms is a strong asset
• Experience with analog and digital telephony is a strong asset
• Networking fundamentals experience is a strong asset
• Hardware and software technical support experience is a strong asset
• Experience managing software configuration and upgrades in complex, customer-specific environments
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in mission-critical systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly in high-stakes or time-sensitive situations
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation quality
