Senior Software Developer, DevOps

Job Description: • Design, develop, and improve Jenkins shared libraries, Jenkinsfiles, and CI/CD pipelines using Groovy • Assess and optimize build, test, release, and deployment workflows • Create reusable pipeline components and standardized delivery patterns • Apply source control, code review, automated testing, documentation, and maintainability practices • Improve build performance through pipeline architecture, parallelization, caching, dependency management, and artifact management • Strengthen deployments through automated testing, quality gates, validation, health checks, environment promotion, and rollback capabilities • Partner with development and QA teams to improve application build, testing, packaging, versioning, and deployment • Modernize CI/CD practices and use delivery metrics to identify bottlenecks and measure improvement • Lead technical improvements to engineering tools and practices and support platform engineering and developer self-service • Build and manage secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily CloudFormation • Support Docker and AWS ECS/Fargate deployments • Develop code, scripts, tools, APIs, and reusable components to automate engineering and operational workflows • Troubleshoot application code, builds, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, networking, and configuration • Use Splunk, New Relic, and AWS CloudWatch for deployment validation and troubleshooting • Improve deployment monitoring, alerting, rollback, and post-deployment validation • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis • Lead CI/CD and DevOps improvements across engineering teams • Partner with Software Engineering, QA, SRE, Security, and Architecture • Provide technical guidance and help teams adopt CI/CD, DevOps, cloud, and software delivery practices • Establish standards, documentation, reusable examples, and operational runbooks • Take ownership of complex technical problems through investigation, implementation, and validation • Participate in monthly rotating on-call; occasional after-hours work may be required Requirements: • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or cloud engineering • Strong communication skills and ability to independently solve complex technical problems • Highly experienced in Jenkins, Groovy, and CI/CD engineering, including Jenkins files, shared libraries, reusable pipeline components, build agents, and pipeline troubleshooting • Experience with software delivery engineering, including build systems, automated testing, artifact management, versioning, deployment, validation, rollback, and improving delivery speed and reliability • Solid experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code, particularly CloudFormation or Terraform • Experience with containers and cloud-native deployments, including Docker and platforms such as AWS ECS/Fargate • Experience with Git/GitHub and troubleshooting across application code, builds, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, networking, configuration, and deployment environments • Must already be residing in Canada • No visa sponsorship is available Benefits: • Cost-shared health and dental benefits plan • Competitive Retirement Savings Matching Program • Flexible work arrangements with our Work From Anywhere Policy • Paid time off that you can use as you see fit • Top-Up Parental Leave • Reduced working hours on full pay for new parents • Free access to CL products for employees and their children • Quarterly Wellness Incentives • Monthly employee activities + recognition program • Employee Allyship Groups (EAGs)
