Fully Remote - Linux Engineer (IT)

As a Linux Engineer at reboot Monkey, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Linux-based systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT and DevOps teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our systems. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Proven experience as a Linux Engineer or similar role. • Strong knowledge of Linux server administration and troubleshooting. • Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management. • Experience with GitLab for source code version control. • Scripting skills in Python and Bash. • Network administration experience, including knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN. • Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IAC). • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, Linux+, CCNA) are a plus. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+). # RTFM # Gitlab,Ansible,CCNA,Terraform, Openstack and strong mindset Key Responsibilities: • Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Linux servers and workstations. • Manage and automate system tasks using Ansible and other configuration management tools. • Collaborate with the development team to maintain GitLab repositories and ensure seamless code deployment. • Write and maintain scripts in Python and Bash for system automation and monitoring. • Administer network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls. • Collaborate with the DevOps team to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. • Implement security best practices to safeguard our systems and data. • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform system upgrades as needed. • Assist in capacity planning and scaling of infrastructure. • Work with Terraform to manage and automate infrastructure as code (IAC). • Collaborate with the IT team to support and maintain the overall IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
