Python / Java Developer – AI‑Assisted Vibe Coding (Claude Code)

Role Description The Python / Java Developer – AI‑Assisted Vibe Coding (Claude Code) role is a part-time, on-site position based in Montreal, QC. The developer will design, implement, and maintain software components using Python and Java, working with AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development and improve code quality. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, contributing to microservices-based architectures, integrating services with existing systems, and collaborating with team members on technical design. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and participating in code reviews and documentation to ensure consistent, reliable delivery. Qualifications • Strong programming skills in Java, with experience using the Spring Framework for building applications. • Experience with software development practices, including design, testing, debugging, and version control. • Knowledge of microservices architecture and related implementation patterns. • Familiarity with Python and interest in using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code. • Ability to work on-site in Montreal, QC and collaborate effectively in a team environment. • Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to writing clean, maintainable code. • Relevant post-secondary education in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Experience with RESTful APIs, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms is an asset.
