Full Job Description
Makivvik, the trusted political organization with a rich history of representing the Inuit of Nunavik
since 1978. Through Makivvik and our subsidiaries, Makivvik has created opportunities for Nunavik
Beneficiaries and those who live in Nunavik, today more than 500 Nunavimmiut are employed
within the Makivvik network in our offices and subsidiaries.

Reports to: The Director - IT in the Corporate Secretary Department
Location: Kuujjuaq or Montréal
Status of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: Between $90,000 and $110,000 Annually

Responsibilities
• Maintain the server, storage and network infrastructures;
• Ensure servers, computers, network infrastructure and physical infrastructure are secure;
• Create and update technical documentation;
• Optimize and maintain infrastructure monitoring tools;
• Guide and assist other IT staff in technical problem resolution;
• Be available to travel, as requested;
• Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;
• Good communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut, English and/or French;
• Two (2) years of experience in a system administrator role;
• Demonstrate analytical capacity and problem solving skills;
• Demonstrate strong knowledge or networking, Windows server, Exchange, Fortinet equipment, VMWare, Hyper V;
• Knowledge of MS SQL, O365, powershell;
• Experience with IP telephony;
• In depth knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations, routing;
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS solutions.
