Python Developer – Gen AI & AI/ML

Position: Python Developer – Gen AI & AI/ML Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to design and implement scalable applications and AI/ML solutions within the Technology team. The role involves working with structured and unstructured data, developing data processing and predictive solutions, and deploying production-grade systems for complex business problems, with a focus on credit risk and financial data. The ideal candidate should have strong Python development skills and hands-on experience with ML/LLMs, Gen AI, Agent Development Kit (ADK), MCP, and REST APIs, along with an interest in adopting emerging AI technologies. Responsibilities: • Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable Python-based applications and REST APIs. • Build data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and ML/LLM solutions for structured and unstructured data. • Develop and deploy predictive, prescriptive, and Gen AI solutions in production. • Design AI agents using ADK, MCP, RAG, and related frameworks. • Work closely with technology and business teams to solve complex problems, particularly in financial and credit risk domains. • Follow best practices for coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and system design. • Implement unit testing and TDD to ensure quality and maintainability. • Work with Linux/shell scripting, Git, and Docker for development and deployment. • Ensure solutions align with architecture, security, data privacy, AI compliance, and responsible AI standards. Require Skills: • 6 years of experience developing scalable and reliable software/ML systems. • Strong proficiency in Python 3.12 and REST API development. • Hands-on experience with Fast API; familiarity with Dynaconf. • Strong knowledge of AI/ML, LLMs, and Gen AI. • Experience with ADK, MCP, RAG, or AI agent development. • Good understanding of model deployment, monitoring, and containerization (Docker). • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Good to Have: • Experience with Gemini LLM and NLP. • Banking, financial services, or credit risk management experience. • Knowledge of AI governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices. • Experience with TDD and production-grade ML/AI systems.
