The Linux Association of Canada is proud to welcome Rencontres Linux au Québec as our newest User Group Member.

With more than 1,650 members and an impressive 23-year history, Rencontres Linux au Québec is one of Canada's most active and well-established Linux communities. Their commitment to promoting Linux and open-source software throughout Quebec has helped thousands of professionals, students, businesses, and technology enthusiasts discover the power of open-source technologies.

We are honoured to have them join our growing national network of Linux User Groups.

Strengthening Canada's Linux Community

Rencontres Linux au Québec has built an outstanding reputation by creating opportunities for people to learn, collaborate, and share their knowledge. Their diverse calendar of events includes technical meetups, weekly online community gatherings, annual conferences, educational workshops, and regional outreach tours that bring the Linux community together across Quebec.

Their flagship annual event, Journée Portes Ouvertes sur Linux (JPOL), has become a cornerstone of Quebec's open-source ecosystem, attracting hundreds of participants and dozens of industry partners each year.

In addition to their annual conference, the group hosts regular hybrid meetups, weekly "Linux Coffee Break" discussions, and community visits throughout the province, ensuring that Linux users from every region have opportunities to connect, learn, and contribute.
