Learn. Build Skills. Earn Recognition.

The Linux Association of Canada (LAC) is excited to announce that our new Learning Centre is currently in development and will be launching soon!

As part of our commitment to making Linux and open-source education more accessible across Canada, we're building a dedicated learning platform where members can develop practical technical skills, expand their knowledge, and track their educational progress.

What can learners expect?

Our new Learning Centre is being designed to offer:

  • Structured Learning Paths — Follow organized courses covering Linux, open-source technologies, and related technical skills.
  • Self-Paced Education — Learn at your own pace, with lessons and modules designed to support different experience levels.
  • Interactive Quizzes & Assessments — Test your understanding and reinforce what you've learned.
  • Personal Learning Dashboard — Track course progress, completed lessons, and learning achievements in one convenient location.
  • Certificates of Completion — Successfully complete course requirements and receive a personalized certificate, available directly from your dashboard.
  • Growing Course Library — Explore an expanding selection of educational content as new courses become available.

Supporting Canada's Open-Source Future

Linux and open-source technologies power much of today's digital infrastructure, from servers and cloud computing to cybersecurity, automation, and enterprise systems.

Yet access to structured, practical education remains an important challenge.

Through the Learning Centre, LAC aims to help bridge that gap by providing accessible learning opportunities and supporting the development of Canada's open-source workforce.

Whether you're a student exploring Linux for the first time, an IT professional expanding your skills, or an enthusiast interested in open-source technology, our goal is to help you take the next step.

We're Getting Ready!

Our team is currently developing course content, assessments, learner dashboards, and automated certification features.

The Learning Centre will initially be available as a member benefit, with additional courses and resources introduced as the platform grows.

Launch details and our first course announcements will be shared soon.
